This blog is from my friend and fellow critique group member Marlaina Gray. It’s very cute.
I decided the exasperated things I say to (and about) my kids would sound better in haiku form. If you’ve got your own haiku, by all means post it below. Enjoy.
The house is spotless
The quiet calm soothes my soul
Then the kids come home
Where are you, school bus?
Shivering in winter winds
I’m too old for this
The answer is no
You may complain all you like
No no no no no
Yes, Mommy is mean
No, that does not bother me
Wait till it’s your turn.
