Blog Tour Visits for Thursday, April 30th

Hi everyone!

I hope you got a chance to visit one or both of the sites I recommended yesterday. But if you didn’t, that’s OK! Here are two more:

The first is a wonderful 5-star review from Kris at The Avid Reader. I found her post on my Twitter feed and it made my Wednesday very happy! Here’s the link: http://bibliophileandavidreader.blogspot.com/2015/04/the-ghosts-of-peppernell-manor.html?showComment=1430353998628#c7227860055775979694

The second is a twofer: a review and a guest post over at Melina’s Book Blog. And this makes my Thursday very happy! Here’s the link:

  1. Definitely a 5 Star: Posted on Amazon:

I loved The Ghost of Peppernell Manor… It is beautifully written making it easy to read. The characters as well as the area, were well developed as the story continued. This made both, easy to relate to.

I agree with some of the readers, that the title is a bit misleading, since the ghost doesn’t make a splashy appearance. However, I was glad because I don’t care for a story filled with ghost dialogue because it makes the story seem unrealistic. Instead, we get a realistic look at a divorced mom with a successful career. There was suspense/murder, and I wasn’t able to figure out the culprits till near the end, which most certainly made it interesting and unpredictable.

I love to read a book that I can relate to personally. This is one of those books. I related to Carleigh’s experience as a divorced mom, cried with Evie over her loss, and got angry with Vivian for her actions toward Phyllis. As far as ghosts; we all have them in our closets. Maybe they don’t talk to us on a daily basis, but they are surely there, reminding us of the ups and downs of life.

    Well worth the read… 🙂
