It’s the last Friday of the month–time again for some good news to take you into March with a smile.
The story I’ve chosen for this month is about a brewery that has come up with a solution for cutting down on plastics in our oceans while doing good for the animals who make the ocean their home.

Here’s how #WATWB works: On the last Friday of each month a number of bloggers participate in a blog hop in which each blogger highlights a story that spreads good news, happiness, and hope.
These are the cohosts for this month: Inderpreet Uppal, Shilpa Garg, Sylvia Stein, Peter Nena, and Belinda Witzenhausen.

That’s a win-win idea and so novel too. Thanks for sharing this cool story, Amy 🙂

That is sooooo clever to have beer can rings made out of natural substances!!! Maybe the beer cans too – and, just because I read about it somewhere, when we do see trash wherever, to take a pic and share on social media so that the company can know where their goods land and take action – (and if we take the pic, to also pick up the trash) .. Thanks Amy, great post.

Hi, Susan,
It takes people smarter than me to figure out how to make a beer can biodegradable, but I bet it can be done. Imagine that possibility! And great idea to record where garbage ends up. We have community and beach cleanups where I live, but only once or twice a year. Unfortunately, trash is a year-round menace. Glad you stopped by.

I agree–I just hope the idea catches on. It seems like a no-brainer, but the article mentioned that it’s getting traction slowly.

I enjoyed this article. Living near the ocean, it’s especially important to me that marine life is protected from human carelessness.

I know, right? It’ll be great if the idea can expand beyond Florida and become the norm.
