New Look, New Blog!

I’m back! It’s been a while since my last post, and I’ve spent a lot of time these past months thinking: it’s time to take this blog in a new direction.

Beginning in the next few weeks, I’m going to focus more on reviewing and recommending crime fiction and mysteries, as the new subtitle of the blog suggests. It’s my niche, it’s where I’m most comfortable, and crime fiction is one of my favorite topics. I’d like to shine a spotlight on the mysteries I enjoy and share them with others, and my hope is to attract like-minded people who love to read.

You’ll probably see mysteries from a range of subgenres here: historic, cozy, Gothic (the three subgenres I write in), domestic suspense, traditional, and true crime. From time to time I may include author interviews, as I did on my former blog.

I hope you’ll accompany me on this new adventure, and I hope you’ll invite your mystery-loving friends.

  4. Amy, I wondered what was happening with you! This sounds like a great new direction. I was in a great local bookstore the other day (Centuries and Sleuths) that features only history and/or mystery novels and I immediately thought of you! Looking forward to your new release in April and wishing you all the best.

      Thank you so much! I’m ready to jump back in–it was getting tedious to think of post ideas, but if I stick to readind and reviewing and recommending mysteries, the well is bottomless.   8. You had quite a run in writing. Like you, I’ve changed directions. I have two columns, one in an ezine and one on a reader’s site. I’m going to contact our local newspaper and offer to do a book column highlighting the local library. They need numbers or they’ll lose funding. I’m also on a large number of readers’ sites where you can post and drive people to your blog. Let me know if you need the info to help get you started. These sites go out to about 17,000 people.
