Count Your Blessings

  1. We should have gratitude 365 days per year rather than 1. I know that I can’t be the only one that thinks it’s ironic that Black Friday, which turns into a cutthroat activity for some, is the day after Thanksgiving. Amazing how all that gratitude goes out the window the very next day.

    1. I have often mentioned the very same thing. It’s even worse when you think of Black Friday beginning at 6 p.m. on Thanksgiving, mere minutes after people have sat around the table to be thankful for what they have. It’s become a blood sport.

I saw something this morning that said, “Happiness doesn’t make you grateful. Gratitude makes you happy.” I think the quote nails it. If everyone practiced gratitude every day of the year, I think we’d find ourselves in a much brighter world.

Happy Thanksgiving to you and your family, Pete, and thank you for such a wonderful comment.
