Did you know that as of July 17th in the United States we’ve already missed National Stay Out of the Sun Day (July 3rd), National Strawberry Sundae Day (July 7th), and National Give Something Away Day (July 15th)? Did you know the whole world celebrated International Kissing Day on July 6th?
If you’ve been as negligent as I have in observing these crucial holidays, it’s time to set things straight.

As its my birthday on 24th I looked for an exciting or tasty one. Well national Amelia Earhart day is the nicest … oh if only I was born on the 23rd… *sigh*

Well, the 24th is drive-thru day. Are there any drive-thru places that serve things you like? I know there’s a drive-thru ice cream place a couple miles from me. I mean, it’s not like I’ve visited or anything to try their Death by Chocolate ice cream–I’ve only heard about it from other people. π
Happy early birthday!! Whatever you do, enjoy your day!

I have spotted one or two drive through burger places popping up in England but nothing as wonderful as an ice cream one, or I would be on it too. πππ

Whoo hoo! I have fresh peaches in my fruit bowl, and vanilla ice cream in the freeze. As soon as I finish this comment, I’m running down to my kitchen (despite the fact that it’s only 6:15 a.m.) and celebrating today’s National Peach Ice Cream holiday. Thank goodness you let us all know!!
These are so funny, Amy. I’ve actually used these holidays as a writing prompt in my classes. I should find one that I wrote. It’s a great prompt for all writers. Consider this: Write a 10-minute story on National Rat Catcher’s Day – the creativity could be outstanding!! π

See what I mean about celebrating? You can and should celebrate Peach Ice Cream Day at the crack of dawn! I’m amazed at the variety of “holidays” that we celebrate and I think lots of them would make a great writing prompt. I intended to look up the origins of National Rat Catchers’ Day, but I figured it was pretty self-explanatory and I ran out of time, anyway. Have a great day and enjoy your ice cream!
